Matt is both a musician and a renaissance man, himself.

Matt has played sweet music into the world through his words, thoughts and deeds over the course of his life.

Literally and figuratively, he is the person who plants, fertilizes, nourishes, tends to and cultivates the garden of our lives and our community.

He is at the epicenter of the work that needs to be done and never falters in his willingness to do it.

When there is a need, he is the first to pick up the burden and carry it gently and with grace.

The Grateful Gardener may be an homage to my father, but it is because of my husband.
